Wind turbine test station.
The customer lacked testing facilities for a wind turbine at one of their working sites.
Mobile test site station in custom-built container solution
Although the testing site was almost permanent, it is not legal to construct a permanent building for the task on the location. In this situation, containers can be extremely useful to work with. Two 40ft containers were stacked to give visibility to the turbine unit. The containers were designed with an entrance to the meeting rooms, kitchen, and office.
DC-Supply A/S – Danish Container Supply delivered two 40ft High Cube containers. The first consisted of a residence/office, meeting room, and toilets. The second HC container was designed as workshop and data center, and installed with a clean water supply and waste water tank. The structure of the container is very sturdy when it is mounted on the site. It creates good working conditions, and can be implemented for customer visits on site while tests are conducted. The container is removable after the test period. The container can be moved worldwide using a ship or other transportation.
