The challenge was to find a way in which a touch screen of 2.5x12m could stand out at night at Kongens Nytorv in Copenhagen, and still be freely available to tourists during the daytime.
Custom-built multimedia container for touchscreen solution
The solution consisted of a black 40 ft custom built event container from DC-Supply A/S – Danish Container Supply.
The multimedia container for installation in the center of Copenhagen was secured against vandalism and theft. Usability and fast setup were areas of importance as a special construction on the containers’ long side was important for the containers’ functionality. By pushing the 12-meter long side out and up, an awning was formed where the tourists could stand under for access.
The container was constructed so that the 12m side of the container could be opened by pressing a button.
