Time is, in fact, the single most crucial factor when a ferry is sailing into the harbour and in need of new supplies on board. Everything has to be ready to go in an hour.

The twenty-two custom-built 10-ft containers from DC-Supply A/S is part of a flexible solution that gives Fjord Line a secure line of supply. Twelve containers were designed as refrigerated storage, which would also act as a so-called picking stock on board the ferry.

The remaining ten containers were designed for linen storage, which would also serve as a picking warehouse for personnel on board. All the containers were custom designed to fit into the company’s logistics system from shore to ship. This solution that had the flexibility and security that Fjord Line needed to serve and satisfy its customers.
