Temporary Kitchen and Canteen
Building contractors needed to service around 350 people on a daily basis; however, the construction of a new canteen and kitchen building made this difficult.
The construction took place in a very small area behind the existing building in Copenhagen. The construction was estimated to last a minimum of twelve months. The kitchen consisted of eight kitchen units, with different functions, and eight canteen units, as open rooms complete with toilet facilities. The kitchen containers were strong enough to support a set of trailer facilities that were put on top of the containers as the construction space was rather limited.
The solution gave the company an opportunity to maintain their daily routine, despite the expansion and renovation. The containers was located just outside the existing buildings. The container kitchen was connected to the supply from the main building. The container kitchen was supplied with LPG battery, thereby reducing the amount of energy spent when compared to normal kitchen facilities.
