One of the distribution centers is located in Thule, which is known to be quite cold. In addition to the weather, KNI’s lack of facilities was becoming increasingly problematic.
The task for DC-Supply A/S – Danish Container Supply, was to provide a residential room with a so-called self-sufficient toilet. It had to be able to keep itself warm, even if the thermometer outside shows minus 45 degrees Celsius. It was therefore obvious that it would be necessary to install an oil burner in the resident compartment.
The custom-built container solution provided KNI an economical solution to their problems that offered KNI employees a safe and comfortable environment on the job.
