Visitor centre Sikuki Nuuk Harbour.
DC-Supply A/S – Danish Container Supply has delivered a new visitor centre for welcoming cruise ship guests to Sikuki Nuuk Harbour in Greenland.
Turnkey custom-built container solution
Within a timeframe of only eight weeks, DC-Supply A/S has produced a turnkey solution for the new visitor centre at Sikuki Nuuk Harbour. The centre will be welcoming cruise ship guest to the harbour.
The custom-built container solution is based on nine 20-ft containers, and offers a common room, toilets (including handicap toilets), a technical container as well as a beautiful terrace with a view of the harbour.
Optimised for Greenlandic conditions
A challenge in Greenland is the lack of sewerage, so an alternative approach is needed. Because of this, the technical container is strategically placed in conjunction with the toilet container from which there is a drainage pipe. The technical container also contains the solution sewage tank.
The new visitor centre covers 135 sqm in total, and will be welcoming the cruise ship guest to Nuuk – in 2018, 18.000 cruise ship guest are expected to visit the harbour.
